The trek to Mt Everest Base Camp:
There are multiple choices I offer for those on either a limited schedule or those that can afford the time it takes to see the Khumbu region. Going up both valleys for the spectacular view of Mt Everest takes awhile longer but it is well worth it. Below you will find a basic time frame and itinerary that suits you. If not, I am able to design one specifically to your needs.
If you are concerned about the high altitude, there is a wonderful trek many people take which is to go to Tangbouche. There is a beautiful monastery there and also a view of Mt Everest in the distance. It is a little higher in altitude than Namche Bazaar (the Sherpa capital of the Khumbu) and a shorter trek all in all.
For all others, I encourage you to plan on going to Kala Pataar (to see the view of the top), Base Camp and/or Goyko Ri (to see another view of Mt Everest. The website will include pictures and a map so you can follow in your mind how you would want to do this trek.
